Indian Suppression of Kashmiri Freedom Movement

More than 100 Kashmiri protesters demanding freedom from India have been killed by the Indian security forces since June. However, the champions of democracy in the West are quit over these deaths.

India has killed more than 70,000 Kashmiri civilians since 1990. There are more than 500,000 Indian soldiers in Kashmir to suppress freedom movement.

The Western media is quick to talk about the human rights issues in China, Iran, Burma and Zimbabwe. It has given disproportionally high coverage to human rights issues in these countries. However, the human right violations by India in Kashmir are ignored and India is labeled as the biggest democracy in the world by the Western media.
