Pakistan puts another dent in America's Silk Road Strategy

Pakistan has put another dent in America's Silk Road Strategy by signing a deal with China to manage the strategic port of Gwader. This region holds more than half of world's oil reserves. This port is vital for trade with Central Asia.

Deep sea port of Gwader also controls Straits of Hormuz oil shipping lanes which is one of the most important sea lanes of the world. Pakistan also signed a deal with Iran to build a gas pipeline. This has also angered America. But Pakistan has refused to budge on this issue.
