The West’s policy to contain China is gathering momentum

US President Barack Obama announced US Marine base in Darwin during his visit to Australia. His address to Australian Parliament was full of veiled threats to China. USA is preparing its Western allies for a potential war with China.

Obama said, “As we end today's wars, I have directed my national security team to make our presence and mission in the Asia Pacific a top priority. As a result, reductions in US defence spending will not - I repeat, will not - come at the expense of the Asia Pacific… The United States is a Pacific power, and we are here to stay. Indeed, we're already modernising America's defence posture across the Asia-Pacific”.

USA is taking advantage of tensions between Vietnam and China. It is trying to lure Burma as well in an attempt to contain China from South China Sea to the Indian Ocean. Obama said, “We'll have new opportunities to train with other allies and partners, from the Pacific to the Indian Ocean… So let there be no doubt: in the Asia Pacific in the 21st century, the United States of America is all in”.

USA and its Western allies are teetering towards the bankruptcy. Hence, it is unwise to waste resources in a futile attempt to contain China. USA and its allies would lose this war, as they lost wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
