USA: Egyptian coup

Military coup in Egypt has once again exposed the hypocritical stance of the West. USA in particular and the West in general have always supported dictators such as Augusto Pinochet, King of Iran, and Ferdinand Marcos. USA is a staunch supporter of many dictators in the Middle East. USA also supported Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak for a long time.

The Western politicians and media are reluctant to use the word coup to describe the ousting of democratically elected Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi.

US President Barack Obama said, “We believe that ultimately the future of Egypt can only be determined by the Egyptian people. Nevertheless, we are deeply concerned by the decision of the Egyptian armed forces to remove President Morsi and suspend the Egyptian constitution.

I now call on the Egyptian military to move quickly and responsibly to return full authority back to a democratically elected civilian government as soon as possible through an inclusive and transparent process, and to avoid any arbitrary arrests of President Morsi and his supporters.”

USA and its allies think that they can stop the democratic changes in the Muslim countries. However, time will prove that the puppets of the West will be toppled like the King of Iran. There will be no place for these dictators to hide.
